Coconut Prawns

The Asia Aroma Restaurant in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea is recommended for its Prawns.

It's been a long time since I've been there, but when I lived in Moresby, Papua New Guinea, this was the best restaurant in town. It is situated in downtown Port Moresby and has good security at night, something which is important in PNG.

Primarily a Chinese restaurant they also have a Thai menu and this is where the best dishes can be found. Moresby is a wonderful place for seafood - so fresh and cheap.

I have not been there since 2001 but I remember they did a truly wonderful Coconut Prawns - with big prawns in coconut and a wonderful Thai sauce. Also a fragrant and spicy Chile Basil Prawns.
