How to write a recipe
Do you hesitate in sharing because you're not sure about
how to write a recipe?
It's not difficult to write a professional style recipe but to make it really easy we've prepared a simple guide and all you need to do is fill in the blanks.
To publish your favorite shrimp or prawn recipe here on Shrimp Magic, just follow the guide below and we'll put your recipe on a dedicated web page exclusively for you.
Preliminary steps
-
Decide on a name for your recipe. The best recipe name, in
our opinion, describes the main ingredient and something about
what is special about the preparation. These are very basic
examples, I wouldn't be surprised if you are much more inventive. Examples:
- Grandma's Boiled Shrimp Recipe
- Hawaiian Coconut Shrimp
- Chinese Garlic Prawns
-
Heart-healthy Shrimp Stir Fry
-
Make a rough list of all your ingredients:
- put your ingredient list in the order which you use them in the recipe.
- decide how many servings your recipe makes
-
If you wish to adjust your recipe to a different number of
servings, use our recipe calculator (opens new
window.) You can also use this converter to change your
measurement between US or metric measurements.
- If you have one, get a picture of your finished preparation in .jpg format.
