• large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• unsalted butter
• olive oil
• garlic cloves, minced

  3. Once the noodles are started, melt the butter in the olive oil over medium low heat in a heavy bottomed sauce pans
  4. Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic, and watch so that it doesn’t burn. When the garlic is really fragrant -- about a minute add the shrimp and some freshly ground pepper.
  5. Cook til the shrimp have turned pink (maybe 2 to 3 minutes each side),
  6. Remove from the heat,  n add the lemon zest and juice,  chopped parsley, and a bit of red chile flakes to taste.
  7. Drain the linguine when it's cooked, return it to the pot and add your shrimp mixture and mix thoroughly
  8. Serve immediately.

You might want to prepare the garlic, lemons, and parsley before getting started which makes them easier to combine.

For wine, a white bordeaux blend, such as the 2006 St. Supery Virtu has been suggested by cook as a nice crisp complement to the buttery flavor of this shrimp. Another possibility is a good fresh Chardonnay, either one well chilled.

Good cooking, Bon Appetit and enjoy your Garlic Shrimp Recipe!
